Internet sources have Adrian Gonzalez of Central Catholic commiting to play at Bentley College.
Gonzalez first had contact and an offer from Assumption but the 6-foot-5 forward apparently signed this week.

Just watched the classic documentary Hoop Dreams for the 100th time. Classic movie for the prep/college hoop junkie.

The official announcement comes later this week, but Andover High hoop and volleyball standout Meghan Thomann Friday will accept a scholarship to play for Division 2 national powerhouse Bentley College. An Eagle-Tribune Super Teamer, Thomann continues the tradition of Warrior scholarship hoopsters. Much more in coming editions of The Eagle-Tribune.

Central Catholic should be proud of its boys soccer team.
The Raiders, or as one observer dubbed them, “The walking wounded”, played their hearts out Friday afternoon in the Division 2 North semifinals. A multitude of injuries didn’t stop them from staying with Dracut.

Took in a post-monsoon grudge match between Central and Chelmsford Saturday night. All I can say is the guy who invented field turf had better have cashed in. What a great surface. No idea how much rain we got, but the field allowed the Lions to win fair and square.
