Good Vibrations

A couple more things I forgot to mention while being distracted by another Patriots blowout…

David Koerner and the rest of his Rangers teammates are still pumped up about last Friday’s win, their first in the Merrimack Valley Conference since 2002.

“We’re feeling pretty good,” he said. “But we’ve kind of left it behind us.”

In this case, it’s permissible to keep — as Homer Simpson would say — basking in the win’s warm glowing glow. At least for a few more days.

In other news, Andover’s Mike Pierce said his banged up foot is feeling better. (The senior quarterback, who sprained his left ankle two weeks ago against Dracut, still managed to throw for 236 yards during last Friday’s loss to Billerica.)

Pierce was in shorts and flip flops before practice at Lovely Field Monday afternoon, but he plans on being ready for Friday’s match-up with Haverhill.
