New Mexico governor and Democratic presidential candidate Bill Richardson met with readers and members of The Salem News and Eagle-Tribune editorial boards yesterday.
Richardson fielded questions from five local voters, including Ray Curran of Salem, a member of the News’ Reader Advisory Board.

The New Hampshire presidential primaries are rapidly approaching — our neighbors to the north will be voting Jan. 8, just a few days after they take down the Christmas decorations.
Massachusetts also has a very early primary this year — Feb. 5 — so it’s worth watching happenings in the Granite State closely.

One of the most popular holiday traditions around these parts is piling the family into the minivan for a drive around the North Shore to check out the Christmas lights.
Well, we’re saving you some of that $3-a-gallon gas.
