Notes on a laugher

“It was a good night to get our rhythm back,” Eddie House said. Astute fellow, that E House, who scored 10 points and rolled his ankle (he says it’s fine).

A textbook victory, no doubt. Let’s see. New Jersey shot 38.8 percent and scored only 86 points. Boston shot 56.4 percent and made 13 steals.

Paul Pierce played a flawless third quarter on offense, scoring 18 points and going 5 of 5 from beyond the arc. (Kind of like Toronto the past couple games. Everything was going in. Although I expect that from Pierce, not Anthony bleepin’ Parker).

“We limited them to one shot, got rebounds and ran our stuff,” House said. Easy enough.

As far as the consecutive back-to-back series, House doesn’t seem to mind.

“It’s good for us. It’s playoff preparation,” he said. “It’s how the playoffs are.”

Yet House did say of his teammates, “We kind of live in the moment.” Ah yes, the moment.

C’s are off tomorrow. Practice is supposed to be light Friday.
