Lackadaisical play from Portland. The Blazers just weren’t getting back on defense. Not sure if they were tired or what.
Boston finished the half on a 14-0 run to take a 49-36 lead. The Celtics just run teams ragged. There’s no other explanation for it. Opponents eventually freeze over. It’s becoming inevitable.
After shooting 50 percent in the opening quarter, Portland dropped to 40.5 percent for the half. Brandon Roy was held to eight points on 2 for 6 from the field.
