Charles Barkley is entitled to his opinion of LeBron James. I love the fact that he has an opinion. Wednesday he dropped this bomb on Dan Patrick’s radio show: “If I was LeBron James, I would shut the hell up. I’m a big LeBron fan. He’s a stud. You gotta give him his props. I’m [...]

Nothing got in Boston’s way tonight. They’re leading 99-75 with two minutes to go. I think it’s out of reach. I’ll have more later… Brian Scalabrine just hit his first 3-pointer of the game. Crowd went nuts. There goes the “Scal-a-breenee” chant. Fitting end to the night.

Kendrick Perkins just threw down a huge dunk to put Boston 10-4 at 6:42 in the first. A few possessions ago, Perkins faked Samuel Dalembert out of his shoes and scored. Looked like Hakeem for a minute. Everything’s working for the Celtics so far.

To borrow a phrase from Randy Moss, the Celtics are playing hellified ball these days. While the Patriots were beating up on the Dolphins, Boston smashed the Raptors 118-103. That’s three straight blowouts, five straight wins overall. Couple encouraging things from this one: The Celtics shot 61.6 percent. Ray Allen scored 21 points (8 of [...]

The Celtics and Pistons “battled” over at the Garden tonight. Rajon Rondo (18 points, 8 assists) shredded Detroit. Once again, what was the only edge the Pistons had over Boston? Chauncey Billups. Right? Anybody disagree? The 2010 free agent class was the big topic on SI.com today. Ian Thomsen has a pretty comprehensive breakdown of [...]

The Knicks are a pretty entertaining team. Here’s what I think of them. The Celtics are still better though, even without Kevin Garnett. Brian Scalabrine may not have another night like this one again. Scal deserves some credit for his effort. KG’s back Thursday. The Scal era may end then. Hey, I don’t think he [...]
