The Cavs will not be joining the Celtics during the ring ceremony. It’s not exactly a controversial decision, but hey, this is the pregame.
“First of all it’s long,” a sympathetic Doc Rivers said. “Secondly, they’re giving us what (the Cavs) want. So yeah, I have no problem with that at all. I agree with LeBron 100 percent.”
Rivers is thankful he’s never sat through one of these as an opposing player.
“I was never on a team good enough to be deemed as the opponent for the championship team I guess,” he said.
As for King James himself, he wasn’t biting on any questions about Boston being the “favorites.” ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ…..
“I don’t know,” he said. “You always have to go through the defending champions no matter if they’re the favorites or not.”
Time for some real basketball, please.
