This is Verterans Day, right? I was in Shaws in Windham this morning, hoping to find a US flag, a red white and blue flower arrangement … or even a patriotic-looking cookie to bring to my father who served in WWII. The only patriotic items they had in the whole store were football related. I'm so dissappointed! Don't they know who paid (and continues to pay) the price for their freedom?

With regard to the heartless comments left concerning the article titled, “Salem, NH man dies after jumping into Merrimack River this morning,” how nice of you to remember that this man has a family. A family he loved. A family who loved him a great deal. They did not in any way fail him but tried, the way families do, to help him. If anything, Stephen failed himself. How kind of you to post such unfeeling comments for his family to see. It really shows generosity of spirit to post, without care, the comments you have. Are you so perfect that you can make judgements against someone else? Do you know what it feels like to lose a family member? Do you feel so superior that you can comment so harshly about a man who's life is lost and whose family is left behind to mourn him. When your time comes and you stand before God, you will be judged the same way you have judged others. Are you so perfect that you can post your comments without thought? When tragedy strikes your family, is this the way you want to be treated. How would you feel if those posts were about your son or brother? Would you find comfort in your own words? Will you post an apology? Are you of strong enough character to do so? Somehow I doubt it. You clearly live in your own self-centered world and don't have an ounce of human compassion. Maybe someday you'll find some.
