Red Sox agree to terms with David Ortiz on one-year deal

The Red Sox just announced they have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with David Ortiz, avoiding arbitration. Buster Olney of ESPN reported earlier today that the Red Sox and Ortiz settled on $14.575 million, the midway point between what the Red Sox wanted to give Ortiz and what Ortiz wanted.
