How much does a classified ad cost?

A classified ad representative at (978) 686-2911 can quote rates. Total cost depends on number of lines, number of days the ad will run, type of ad, and where it runs – including the internet.

Must I place the ad in person?

No, most are placed via phone, as well as fax, mail, or e-mail. You are welcome to place the ad in person at any of our offices. In memoriams are best placed in person so size and verse can be selected.

How soon can my classified ad run?

Frequently the next day for line ads; two days for classified display ads. It varies for ads on holidays and weekends. One of our classified sales representatives can give you specifics. Please call (978) 686-2911.

In many cases you can. There are some prepaid categories. In many cases we offer prepayment discounts. We accept VISA & Mastercard.

Retail Advertising

What is Retail Advertising?

A display advertisement purchased to run in the daily or Sunday newspaper, other than the Classified section. Preprinted materials are also accepted for insertion in the newspaper. Non-subscriber delivery and direct mail distribution are available.

How do I get my ad in the Eagle-Tribune?

Call (978) 946-2000 and ask for Retail Advertising. We have advertising consultants who will advise you concerning ad design, copy, placement and pricing. A meeting can usually be arranged at our locations or yours.

Can you help me put an ad together?

Certainly. Our advertising consultants are trained to help you with ad design, layout, copy, logo design and placement. We can also help you develop an advertising budget that’s appropriate for your type of business.

What kind of minimum lead time is required to get a retail display ad in the Eagle-Tribune?

Copy and materials need to be received at least 4 working days prior to the run date of the ad if you’d like a proof of your ad before publication. Three days prior is acceptable if a proof is not needed, but we encourage you to work on the proof deadline to ensure correct copy. If you’re new to advertising, please allow extra time for us to give you extra help.

Can you help me with information from ads that appeared recently in the newspaper?

Usually, yes. If you know the name of the advertiser, about when the ad ran, and some specifics of the ad content, we will be glad to check recent newspapers and call you back or send you e-mail with the information you need from the ad. If you’re not sure of those kinds of details, making it difficult for us to find the ad for you, you’re welcome to visit our main office to look through bound volumes of recent newspapers.
