Do you do tours of the newspaper?
Yes, you may schedule a tour on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 10:00 am by calling Pauline Minch at 978-946-2315.
Are back issues of the newspaper available?
Yes, we keep back issues at all our offices. Very old issues can be viewed on microfilm at public libraries.
How do I get to the Eagle-Tribune’s main office in North Andover?
From Interstate 495 north or south take exit 42A (sign says Route 114, Middleton). Go about 1 mile(up the hill). Just after you pass Northmark Bank on your right, the Eagle-Tribune entrance will be on your left.
From Interstate 93 north or south take exit 44 to Interstate 495 north. Once on 495, take exit 42A (sign says Route 114, Middleton). Go about 1 mile(up the hill). Just after you pass Northmark Bank on your right, the Eagle-Tribune entrance will be on your left.

How do I get something in the newspaper?
You can either use the web site to submit news items via e-mail or call (978) 946-2000 and ask for the newsroom. You will be connected to an editor or reporter.
How can I get a copy of a photo?
You can order a photo that appeared in the paper by calling the paper at (866) 927-7627. Ask for EAGLE SNAPS.
How can I find a story that already ran in the paper?
You can call the paper at (978) 946-2000 and ask for the newsroom. You will then be put in touch with the appropriate editor or reporter. Back copies can be seen at our office or in public libraries.
When can a reporter or editor be reached?
Reporters and editors are often out on assignments, but the phones are staffed from 6:15 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays; and 6:30 to noon on Sundays. You can leave a message by phone during those times or by E-mail anytime from your phone line or via our web site. Your call will be returned as soon as possible.
Why was something in or left out of the newspaper?
Space, timeliness or inclusion in an upcoming special section may be the problem. To get an answer, call the newsroom at (978) 946-2000. Complaints? Ask to speak with an assignment editor or with Senior Managing Editor Al White.

Classified Advertising

How much does a classified ad cost?
A classified ad representative at (978) 686-2911 can quote rates. Total cost depends on number of lines, number of days the ad will run, type of ad, and where it runs - including the internet.
Must I place the ad in person?
No, most are placed via phone, as well as fax, mail, or e-mail. You are welcome to place the ad in person at any of our offices. In memoriams are best placed in person so size and verse can be selected.
How soon can my classified ad run?
Frequently the next day for line ads; two days for classified display ads. It varies for ads on holidays and weekends. One of our classified sales representatives can give you specifics. Please call (978) 686-2911.
Can I be billed for my ad?
In many cases you can. There are some prepaid categories. In many cases we offer prepayment discounts. We accept VISA & Mastercard.

What is Retail Advertising?
A display advertisement purchased to run in the daily or Sunday newspaper, other than the Classified section. Preprinted materials are also accepted for insertion in the newspaper. Non-subscriber delivery and direct mail distribution are available.
How do I get my ad in the Eagle-Tribune?
Call (978) 946-2000 and ask for Retail Advertising. We have advertising consultants who will advise you concerning ad design, copy, placement and pricing. A meeting can usually be arranged at our locations or yours.
Can you help me put an ad together?
Certainly. Our advertising consultants are trained to help you with ad design, layout, copy, logo design and placement. We can also help you develop an advertising budget that’s appropriate for your type of business.
What kind of minimum lead time is required to get a retail display ad in the Eagle-Tribune?
Copy and materials need to be received at least 4 working days prior to the run date of the ad if you’d like a proof of your ad before publication. Three days prior is acceptable if a proof is not needed, but we encourage you to work on the proof deadline to ensure correct copy. If you’re new to advertising, please allow extra time for us to give you extra help.
Can you help me with information from ads that appeared recently in the newspaper?
Usually, yes. If you know the name of the advertiser, about when the ad ran, and some specifics of the ad content, we will be glad to check recent newspapers and call you back or send you e-mail with the information you need from the ad. If you’re not sure of those kinds of details, making it difficult for us to find the ad for you, you’re welcome to visit our main office to look through bound volumes of recent newspapers.

What towns does the paper go to?
The Eagle-Tribune goes to the following cities and towns: Amesbury, Andover, Boxford, Georgetown, Groveland, Haverhill, Lawrence, Merrimac, Methuen, Middleton, North Andover, North Reading and West Newbury in Massachusetts, and Atkinson, Chester, Danville, Derry, Hampstead, Kingston, Londonderry, Newton, Pelham, Plaistow, Salem, Sandown and Windham in New Hampshire.
How can I pay for my subscription?
You can pay your carrier or you can pay by mail. We will bill you and you have the option of paying for 13, 26, or 52 weeks in advance with a check or credit card. You can also use ET Plus and have your subscription costs deducted monthly from either your credit card or checking account.
How can I get the money I lost in your rack?
Call us at (978) 946-2200 with your name and address and we will refund your money. Or we will have a copy of that day’s paper dropped off to you. Please tell us the location of the rack so we can fix it.
What delivery options are available?
We have two delivery options, either 7 days a week or weekend only (weekend only includes Saturday, Sunday and holidays).

Could you please help me out. My wife was from Lawrence Mass and moved to florida at a young age. Now she wants to trace her roots. What she can rember is an articale in your paper and it stuck wife her. Do you have any articales on Donna St. Amand? It is impossible for us to look at micro film down here on your newspaper.

To vera: If you are looking for an article that appeared after Feb 1, 2008 you can use the “Search Site” feature on the right hand side of the screen on the homepage. If the article was in our Plus versions these articles are not available at this time. If you send us a request for a particle article we can make it available to you on our site.
