An ad placed on Craig's List for Star Touch Massage in Haverhill. We've blackened out the woman in the ad as we've not been able to identify her or her relationship to the company.
Oh, we know it happens. But it’s the type of business we often think happens somewhere else. This week, that “somewhere else” turned out to be downtown Haverhill. Police have arrested two 29-year-old women they say were performing sex acts for money under the guise of their massage parlor business, Star Touch Massage. Police were tipped off by suspicious residents.
If the duo were running a prostitution ring as officials allege, they weren’t outwardly advertising it. The business’s Web site is fairly simple and an ad they allegedly posted on Craig’s List (pictured above) was under the category “therapeutic services.”
Of course, knowing the charges police have filed against the business owners, it’s easy to find oneself reading between the lines. From the ad:
Do you need to be touched? Everyone does!
Touch is the only sense we cannot live without!
There are many benefits to a Star Touch Massage!
Apparently so. Unfortunately for these downtown Haverhill entreprenuers, some of those alleged benefits are illegal.
