Haverhill Mayor James Fiorentini will make a public address at Zion Bible College at 6:30 this evening. The mayor plans to talk about the impact of the recession on Haverhill. Like many cities impacted by announced slashes to aid, Haverhill is looking at some serious issues. Fiorentini will lay forth some of the struggles the city is facing and attempts to deal with them.
The Eagle-Tribune will post the text of Fiorentini’s speech at 6:30 p.m., after he begins his address. Look for complete coverage first thing tomorrow morning.
