This funeral has brought Haverhill to a standstill. Bradford Common was closed to vehicles this morning and state troopers and police officers were bused from North Andover to Bradford Square, where they walked to the school just before ceremonies began.
Eagle-Tribune Reporter Brian Messenger talked with Bradford resident Richard LaBelle. In 30 years of living in Bradford, LaBelle, a Sacred Hearts parishoner, said he’d never seen South Main Street so quiet at 9 a.m.
“I think it’s something to see. I just think it’s amazing,” LaBelle said.
