The city has reduced the number of polling places from eight to six, eliminating the Senior Center and the Second Congregational Church. The change goes into effect starting with the Sept. 16 state primary. Now there is one polling place for each of the six wards:

Ward 1, Precincts 1 & 2 — Ayers-Ryal Side School
Ward 2, Precincts 1 & 2 — Beverly Public Library
Ward 3, Precincts 1 & 2 — McKeown School
