World champion sails into Beverly

Did you know we had a world champion in our backyard, or at least in our waters, last weekend? This is a photo of Thomas Hormos, who is the reigning world champion in Snipe class sailing. The Snipe is a 15 1/2-foot racing dinghy, and 20 of the boats were in Beverly last weekend for the New England Championships, hosted by the Jubilee Yacht Club.
