Work to resume ’soon’ on Friendly’s site

What’s up with the former Friendly’s Ice Cream site on Rantoul Street?
Land owner Dinart Serpa, who runs most of the Dunkin’ Donuts in the city, plans to build three office/retail buildings there, but the work has been delayed by a dispute with neighbors. Jack Kelleher of Kelleher Construction, which will do the project, said this morning that dispute has been resolved and work will resume “reasonably quickly.”
Friendly’s was there from 1966 to 2001. The building … continued »
