If you’re driving past the high school tomorrow, don’t be alarmed at the scene in the lower parking lot. Starting at 10 a.m., the school’s peer leadership class will perform the 26th annual mock car crash to raise awareness of the dangers of drinking and driving. The event is a dramatic recreation of the aftermath of a fatal crash, complete with an ambulance and a hearse.

The Yes! for Beverly group will hold an election-night gathering at the Cove Community Center on East Corning Street tomorrow beginning at 7. The polls close at 8. Paul Carr, a “Cove dad & BHS grad,” will provide music, according to the flyer promoting the event.
As of this afternoon, the ‘vote no’ group, Citizens for Fiscal Responsibility, had no plans for an election-night gathering. The group is meeting tonight at 7 at the library, said … continued »
