Expect delays on Balch and Herrick streets

The Cabot Street end of Balch Street was closed this morning, but Public Services Director Michael Collins just said it should be back open soon. Workers are preparing Balch Street to be paved. They’ll also be paving Herrick Street and the Balch-to-Herrick portion of Cabot, so you can expect delays over the next few weeks.
Collins also reported good news for drivers making that tough left-hand turn against traffic from Cabot onto Balch. He said a left-turn signal will be installed, giving drivers a green light to go left.
