I stopped in yesterday to visit with Adelino Silva, above, the owner of one of the downtown’s newest businesses, America Meat Market. The store is located at 296 Cabot St., in the same block as Organic Garden.

Everyone knows the big question facing the city. Now here it is, officially, in black and white. This is what you’ll see on the ballot when you go to the polls on Tuesday, June 3, to consider a Proposition 2 1/2 override for the schools:

Ward 2 City Councilor Wes Slate has asked the Parking and Traffic Commission to look into the traffic and parking impact of the planned Montserrat College of Art residence complex. The college is scheduled to break ground next month on an $8 million, four-building complex at the corner of Essex and Winter streets.
